Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) is a beast in the medium tier. Its price value ratio is outstanding. Here is why – Large but not too large and beautiful screen. Dual SIM option and it supports Micro SD cards up to 2TB (yes, 2 terrabytes). It comes with 3GB RAM/32 GB ROM or 4GB RAM/64 GB ROM or 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM. It has an Octa-Core CPU and enough graphical power to play more demanding games on this phone. Face unlock and fingerprint sensor are also included and mostly the fingerprint unlock does a good job.Dual camera on the back with an 8MP and a 5MP sensor. You can shoot 4K videos and 1080 at 60fps. The selfie camera is 8MP and it has a brutal battery with 5000mAh. With this reactor you can go a long way without charging. It has mini-jack and micro USB connectors. The OS is pure Android that is basically the default stock Android without any extras and skins and it’s being updated regularly by Google, which is overall really good.
The cons might be the camera’s quality and the audio speakers. The camera is not bad but it’s not good either. Autofocus can be tricky sometimes. Audio speakers (mono) do their job but don’t expect any magic. They’re rather loud than good. Also the phone in the palm feels a little bit wider than it should be but it’s rather a question of personal preference and not necessarily a downside.
Depending on the location, the different versions costs between cc.200-300 USD (180-270 EUR) It’s absolutely worth its price and along with the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite this is another phone that is in the top-tier of the value for money category.
